The theater treatment

The theater treatment

Official occupation: café manager. Unofficial job: theater advisor. Marie Do manages the Entracte Gaité, a café that happens to be the heart and soul of the theater district, rue de la Gaieté. To discover her true gift, you need to sit at the bar. In a matter of minutes, she’ll tell you exactly what show you need to see.

It takes a bit of talking but at some point, Marie-Do is able to prescribe the potion you need… the show which corresponds to your evening’s mood. A comedy when you’re down, a love story for tired couples, a serious play for those who want to go straight back to the bar and discuss it later. She’s seen them all and nobody’s her match when it comes to talking about these “marvelous little shows”. She’s also like a second mom to the actors currently on stage. By the way, be careful not to sit at the table on the left when entering the café. It is reserved to a “you-know-who”, a famous French actor.

How about sitting in a comfortable armchair for a while? Don’t worry, Jenny won’t say a word: the visit is going on.
